Second in the Coors Light NFL Nostalgic Series features official specially commissioned NFL artwork featuring period icons of football's founding teams from the 1940's through the 1950's. World War II took many of the NFL stars who volunteered for the armed services. The depletion of talent forced several franchises to consolidate during this decade. Still there was significant innovation with the introduction of the wing T offense, the unveiling of low cut cleats and the presentation of the first logo branded helmets.
