This first edition commemorates the American Revolution and four of its key battles—The Battle of Bunker Hill, The Battle of Princeton, The Battles of Saratoga and The Siege of Yorktown. The figurine atop the lid represents the symbol of the U.S. 1st Infantry Regiment of 1791. This new series honors the battles fought and won by U.S. armed forces to keep America free. The background of the illustration is a recreation of an early American flag, circa 1783. The thumbrest is in the shape of a powder horn.
