Quality examples of the genuine "Our Father" stein ("Vater Unser" Krug) -- 
"quality" meaning other than cheesy tourist schlock -- are hard 
enough to find in Germany, let alone on this side
 of the pond. I first saw one of these when 
I worked in Germany 25 years ago, foolishly didn't buy
 it at the time, and then searched off and on 
for nearly 20 years before finally finding mine (slightly smaller
 at 13-1/2" in height and without the "ihs" cross) in a favorite
 ceramics store in Nuremberg many years ago. While I'm not 
personally familiar with the one being sold by Sam, it sure
 seems to have the same traditional shape, finish, and script
 that mine has. If you're a collector looking for a conversation 
piece, I'd say snap this one up. It might be a
