The awesome 18th hole at the Tournament Players Club of Tampa Bay golf course is showcased on this third and final edition in our series of steins honoring golf's most challenging holes. Opened in 1991 in Lutz, Florida, the course was designed by PGA TOUR Design Services, Inc. and consultant Chi Chi Rodriguez. Every February, the TPC of Tampa Bay is home to the GTE Suncoast Classic. From alligators sunning themselves, to otters swimming in of the many lakes, the diversions on this formidable TPC golf course are numerous. But nothing on the course is more intimidating than the par-four, 456 yard 18th hole. This challenging dogleg features water along the entire right side of the fairway and green...as well as sizeable bunkers on the left. At the center of this remarkable stein is a detailed illustration depicting an aerial view of the spectacular 18th, showing nearly as much water as grass! To each side of the main visual are beautiful renderings of the TPC of Tampa Bay clubhouse and scenic view of part of the luxurious 200 acre course. The pewter lid is etched with the TPC of Tampa Bay logo and inset with a ceramic inlay of the Michelob PGA Tour logo. The TPC of Tampa Bay logo is also engraved on a 3" long pewter inset in the stein's handle-adding a truly unique touch! And the thumbrest is a carefully sculpted pewter golf ball.
